The New Park of Florina

A place for sports and leisure for young and old is located in the heart of Florina. It is the new municipal park, which was developed on the site of the old stadium of the city.
The new park, through coordinated interventions of the Municipality, is a lung of greenery, and has become an attractive routine for the daily life of the citizens – of all ages.
The municipal park is the largest public place of leisure in the city. It has fitness centers with calisthenics equipment, a basketball court, hosts mild sports, educational and recreational activities (table chess, teqball, tennis, etc. etc.), which allow communication and social interaction between citizens, making it the first choice for walks and recreation as it has a rich flora, a fountain, monuments and a refreshment room for citizens.
The site has a playground (with the possibility of use by disabled people).
The area behind the café is ideal for large outdoor events. Every summer, cultural events take place in this area, with concerts, dance groups, etc., with an impressive turnout of visitors from all over Greece.
On both sides of the park there are car parking spaces (parking lots).
