“The Seven Heroes Monument”

The Square of the Seven Heroes is located east of the building of the Ε.A.F. (Educational Association of Florina “Aristotle” and is dedicated to the memory of seven murdered children, high school students and members of Aristotle by the armed units of the Bulgarian occupation army on January 17, 1944. In the courtyard of the building, a symbolic wall was placed, a work by the Florinian, Telemachus Rompis in 1990.
It is a representation in relief on which is placed a marble tombstone with the names of the seven children on it, while seven persons are represented in a position of offering, an altar in a triangular shape at the bottom and seven metal spears pointing upwards.
