Strawberry Festival

Every year the Educational Cultural Association of Atrapos “To Poimenikon” organizes the Strawberry Festival. All paths lead to Atrapos, the village where strawberries are produced. There the Association will welcome you with strawberries and various desserts with strawberries as the main ingredient. The orchestra will entertain us and will accompany the performances of the dance groups from the wider region of Florina. A celebration that started a few years ago by the young people of the Cultural Association of Atrapos and since then it has become an institution with the aim of highlighting the strawberry, a product on which the local economy of the wider region is essentially based.
The Strawberry Festival includes music, dances and many surprises, while the women of the Association prepare various delicacies for the people, based on the local product. Strawberries are the dominant product of the region, important for the local and rural economy, and intertwined with the activities of the local community. To get to know the strawberry better, the association has created a museum where visitors can see photographs and read about how strawberries are produced.
