The old prison (Administration Court) (1905)

The special building, built around 1905, a short distance from the city’s administrative building, forms the eastern side of Justice Square.
The ground floor building, limited in scale, is organized by the perimeter arrangement of spaces around the central atrium. To the left and right of the main entrance-passage to the atrium, the offices of the prison administration are organized.
The exterior facades are characterized by their eclectic mood, where false pilasters emphasize the edges of the building and delineate the central projecting part, while linear decorative frames outline the rectangular openings of the windows of the façade, as they are organized symmetrically to the left and right of the arched opening of the central entrance.
The building, with general dimensions of 16.65 x 10.85m, is made of masonry as far as the foundation is concerned, while the superstructure is formed with clay brickwork.
The floors are wooden, as well as the roof in its original form.
The building has been restored and houses the Administration Court of Justice of Florina.
