The Church of St. Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos)

The Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos is the work of the Tribounians, who lived in the area. Agios Nikolaos was the patron saint of their village. The land was donated by Vasilios Roukas, who had built a chapel in the place where the Turks killed his son.
But there was no money, and for this reason.
Metropolitan Polycarpos allowed them to make a collection in the town with the icon of St. Nicholas. From the collection they raised about 300 gold pounds.
The Tribounians, all together, men women and children, worked, as workers, pro bono. The iconostasis and the pews were made by Florentine carpenters.
The hagiographer George Bliankas painted all the icons of the iconostasis.
Later hagiographers from Drosopigi created the frescoes of the sanctuary. The Pantocrator of the dome with the Evangelists was painted by the painter Evangelos Tamoutselis. Lazaros Peios, a merchant of Florina, collected all the bronze utensils and the bell of St. Nicholas was made.
The church of St. Nicholas began construction in 1917 and was completed in 1921.
In 1926, Eleni Peyou donated a meadow and it became the cemetery of St. Nicholas. The cemetery of Agios Nikolaos was closed in 1992.
Every year the church celebrates the 6th of December.
