Folklore Collection of Polypotamos

The preservation of cultural heritage is a collective affair, it is a matter that requires effort and sacrifice, toil, diligence and love in order to be able to achieve it and to gather together all those who are unaware of it, but want to learn, to know their roots, to collect information about the life of the inhabitants in the past years and to listen to their place by touching and seeing.
The interest of our Folklore Collection focused on what concerns the region, gathering material mainly from rural agricultural activities in the countryside which played an important role in the socio-economic life and development of the region.
This material consists of tools of rural life, furniture of the folk residence and objects of everyday use, means of transport as well as workshops in which the processing of agricultural products, the production of utilitarian objects and all kinds of handicrafts took place. The material is divided into sections which are described below, in order to be visited by our fellow citizens and to have an educational character for students, visitors and even researchers.
