Folklore Collection of Flampouro

The Folklore Collection of the Cultural and Cultural Association “Flampouro”, which has recently acquired a small building in the school yard, where the Folklore Collection of the village is housed, is a reference point of the history and characteristics of the village and its inhabitants.
Built with love and emotion by the members of the association and the residents of the village, the Folklore Museum of Flampouro, is an example of the daily struggle for survival of the residents, who “fought” with the land and the elements of nature in order to manage to live and thrive.
The visitor is faced with an experiential experience that unfolds before him and concerns local professions that are tending to become extinct, the tools that the inhabitants used to work the stone in building their houses, tools for cultivating the land and livestock, as well as many utensils from their daily life.
In this small and well-appointed space you can find ploughs, household utensils, looms, old radios, coins, textiles, the traditional costumes of the village, photographs and a wealth of other exhibits from another era.
