Folklore Collection “Akrita”.

The collection of the Folklore Museum of Akrita was created by the children and the teacher of the community in an effort to collect objects of the local folk tradition. The collection, for this reason, bears the stamp and spirit of the people who created it and includes some objects of great cultural value (Karantoni & Papaioannou, 2009).
The collection includes the following objects:
Agricultural tools, logging – carpentry tools, building tools, pastoral tools, weaving tools and items, ceramic items, women’s clothing of Akritas and a men’s clothing with all its accessories, silversmithing items, Holy Gospels of 1785 and 1872, a small number of military items, school handicraft items collection of stones, household utensils, metalworking items, coins and banknotes and photographic material.
