Tennis in Florina

Tennis is a modern Olympic sport played at all levels of society, by all ages, and in many countries around the world. Originating in Europe, towards the end of the 19th century it first spread to the English-speaking world, particularly among the upper social strata. Millions of spectators watched tennis, especially the four major championships called the Grand Slam.
The first Tennis Team in Florina was created in 2008 by the Florina Culture Club, which since 2012 has been a member of the Greek Tennis Federation. In recent years, other clubs and businesses within the boundaries of the Municipality of Florina have been involved in this sport.
The athletes from Florina have won many important distinctions both at the level of Central-Western Macedonia and at the Panhellenic level.
Children of all ages learn tennis in the clubs in sections adapted to their age and their competitive level.
There are also adult sections oriented from simple fun and games to the advanced level of competitive activity.
