ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Our starting point is the Railway Station of Florina. In the direction of the provincial road Florina Drosopigi and towards the peripheral forest of the hill of Agios Panteleimonas. On our way we will meet the church of St. George(Agios Georgios) and immediately afterwards, at the junction, we will take the right uphill road, which we will follow until its end. On this road we will meet the Linx Hotel – Casino, the archaeological site of Florina (Hellenistic City), the FOOF and we will end up in front of the door of the Thirofylakio.
On our left we will notice the uphill concrete stairs leading to the chapel of Ag. Kyriaki. Carrying our bicycle, we will climb the stairs until we see a path on our right and, a few metres further on, the iron stairs that pass over the barbed wire fence. Cross over the stairs and continue following first the path and then the dirt road. This dirt road will take us to the top. There is the Cross and next to it the chapel of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, where our route ends. The view of Florina, the plain, up to the neighbouring Monastery is unsurpassed.
For our way back we follow the same route in the opposite direction.
