ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Our route starts from the square of Florina Railway Station. We cross the whole city westwards, on an asphalt road, towards the village of Alona. We cross the village of Alona without turning anywhere and after the village square we follow the uphill dirt road, which leads us to the 17th kilometer Florina – Vigla, from where we continue by turning left on the uphill asphalt road until the shelter of Vigla. On our right and opposite the shelter is the old military outpost and right next to it begins a difficult uphill dirt road. On our way to the wind generators, we will cross the chapel of “Fatsis” and at that point we will follow the right road. Continuing the ascent, we meet the wind generators, which we pass and reach the top.
After a short stop to admire the view, we start the way back from the back side of the summit this time. On our way we will meet the mountaineering refuge at the “Kochagia” position. Going downhill after the shelter, we take the right road which will lead us again to the chapel of “Fatsis”. From there we follow the road we climbed or alternatively after the 17th km we continue on the asphalt road to the town of Florina.
