Residences of Brothers Vogiatzis (1889-1930)

Set of houses, from the left, of different styles, of the brothers Pantelis, Charalambos and Theodoros Vogiatzis. The first one is a two-storey folk house with an overhang of the upper floor (sahnisi) typical of the Macedonian architecture (1889) and the second one is a neoclassical house with a small balcony above the entrance with false columns. The third one was built in 1930, while in 1940 the Florina Gendarmerie Department was housed. The films of Theodoros Angelopoulos “The Beekeeper” and shots from “The Stork’s Meteoric Step”, starring Marcello Mastrogiannis, were shot here.
