The Market of Florina

The Bazaar of Florina, every Wednesday and Saturday, is the largest place for the development of outdoor commercial activity in the prefecture of Florina. It attracts thousands of visitors all year round, from the neighboring villages, the villages of Prespa and tourists from the neighboring FYROM(North-Macedonia).
Local producers with the genuine products of the Florinian land and sometimes with their traditional costumes from the axis of Skopias, Polypotamos and Hydrousa bring and sell their goodies from all over the Prefecture.
Traders of agricultural products from neighboring prefectures, Roma, and returnees from countries of the former Soviet Union coexist harmoniously, giving the bazaar a special color, which is difficult to find in other open-air markets.
A bazaar with grandmothers from the surrounding villages selling chushkas, hot peppers and many other fine local products. Whether you want to shop for something or not, come down to the market to experience this bazaar, to feel the smells, the voices and the bargaining, the colours of all kinds.
The colourful mosaic is complemented by the constant presence of the local residents and tourists, justifying and preserving the myth of the unique atmosphere of the bazaar.
