Farm and buildings of the Agricultural School of Florina (1925)

The buildings of the Agricultural School of Florina on Kontopoulos Street and the immediate surroundings have been designated as a historical site in need of special state protection as a remarkable example of architectural tradition and expression as well as the place of a standard Practical Agricultural Station in the inter-war period. The Agricultural School is an architectural ensemble built after 1921, when the municipality of Florina was granted by the Greek State an area of several acres at the 3rd km of the Florina Monastiriou road for the establishment of an Agricultural and Livestock Station. The buildings are inextricably linked to each other and perfectly harmonized with the environment. In addition, 19 other buildings have been designated as historical monuments, which are representative examples of the architecture of the special buildings necessary for the operation of the agricultural schools of the inter-war period.
