Residence of Christos Anastasiou

The building at 35 Eleftherias Avenue, allegedly owned by Anastasiou, was designated as a listed building as it is a remarkable building of the early 20th century with remarkable structural, aesthetic, morphological and environmental characteristics, such as the volume, its location next to the city’s river, the scale of the building, the metal frames supporting the balcony, its flat rectangular plan, the tripartite arrangement of the façade, the artistic treatment of the balcony railings, the coexistence of folk (traditional) and neoclassical elements, etc. ά. The building forms a traditional architectural unity with other remarkable buildings in the area, which contribute to the recognition of the architectural character of the wider area.
