Originally the sculpture was placed in the square of Florina in 1971.
From the year 2000 until 2009 the sculpture with the “Thneeskon warrior” was found decorating the Attiko Metro at the National Defence Station, Papagos.
In 2010, the sculpture “Thneiskon Warrior” by Dimitris Kalamaras returned again to Florina where it was placed in a central place in the new park of the city where a few years ago the former sports stadium of the city was located.
